WHAT'S YOUR PATH?

Feel confident every step of the way through your application process.

Multi-pitch Path

In rock climbing, one rope length is called a pitch: you are on one end of the rope and a partner holds the other to protect you from falling as you climb a short distance the length of the rope. A multi-pitch route is done on much taller cliffs, requiring many steps and many rope lengths, your partner assisting you at each “pitch.” In the college application process, Summit is your partner, supporting you and meeting you at each step along the way. There will be difficult points, but you will never climb alone. Taking a longer route will allow you to rest between achievements, plan your next steps as you move forward, and you may reach a higher summit in the end.

Boulder Path

A boulder climb is shorter than a multi-pitch climb. As the climber is not supported by a rope, they must be more focused over a short period of time to reach the summit. If you wait longer to start your applications, you can still accomplish quite a bit; however, it will require a lot of tough and independent work, without breaks.
